A beautiful poster with plenty of details, realized by Oge ca. 1897, to advertise the lightbulbs brand "Bec Auer", that accoring to the slogan is 50% more economic. A group of people from all social classes are staring at the lamp with an astonishment. This poster is featured in the book "Eugène Ogé Affichiste" (1998) on p. 180. Eugène Ogé (1861-1936) was a French poster artist with a unique and playful style. In 1902. he produced one of the best-known anticlerical images of its period La Lanterne.
