Original Vintage French Poster "MOGADOR La Belle de NEW-YORK" The Belle of New York (MGM) is a 1952 Hollywood musical comedy film set in New York circa 1900 and stars Fred Astaire, Vera-Ellen, Alice Pearce, Marjorie Main and Keenan Wynn, with music by Harry Warren and lyrics by Johnny Mercer. The film was directed by Charles Walters. This poster was issued ca. 1960 when the comedy was playing at the Mogador Thétre. Mogador, a Parisian music hall theatre was founded in 1913 and designed by Bertie Crewe. An extensive renovation restored the building to new splendor in 1983. This poster was realized after an original design by the Spaniard José de Zamora (1899-1971).
