Poster commissioned (ca.1960) by the Loterie Nationale (French national lottery) created in 1933. A whimsical poster by Omnès in connection with a first prize of 40 millions francs. As the caption tells us: “Scalp dance? No, Dance of the Big Prize!”. The scalp dance was a ceremonial of the American Indians in which scalps were used in celebrating a victory.
