This poster was realized by Pierre Fix-Masseau (1905-1994), the renowned French poster designer. The Gauloise Disque Bleu (Blue Disk) was first introduced in 1934 and is still going strong today. Disque Bleu cigarettes have been manufactured and distributed in France by the French government monopoly S.E.I.T.A. the acronym for Service díexploitation industrielle des tabacs at alumettes (Service for the industrial exploitation of cigarettes and matches)..
