A beautiful poster realized by Guy Arnoux ca. 1900, advertising the famous wines of Bourgogne. Burgundy wine (French: Bourgogne or vin de Bourgogne) is wine made in the Burgundy region in eastern France,[1] in the valleys and slopes west of the Saône River, a tributary of the Rhône. The most famous wines produced here—those commonly referred to as "Burgundies"—are dry red wines made from Pinot noir grapes and white wines made from Chardonnay grapes. He illustrated nearly eighty books, including several large formats outstanding print quality at Devambez (1917: Some French flags ; 1918 Drums and trumpets ). At the end of the War of 1914 to 1918, he participated in charming little books for children: Good English , book a licensee , Our brothers of America ...
