A beautiful advertising poster for "Dior" fragrance, realized by René Gruau, the renowned poster designer who passed away in 2004 at the age of 95. It epitomizes the chic and the glamour which were and remain his trademark. Gruau combined in this poster a painted figures with a photograph of the fragrance bottle. Depicted here are a couple who sit on a sofa while the guy holds a bottle of Dior as if it was his favorite drink. What they see in front of them is completely abstract, with a clear reference to the iconic sublime paintings by Mark Rothko.
