Original Vintage French Poster Advertising "Contre Douleurs" pills against Migrane, realized ca. 1950 by Donald Brun. "Contre Douleurs" are modern pain killer medication. Brun has used a striking color combination for its time. Donald Brun (October 30 1909 in Basel , Switzerland - August 15 1999 in Clarens , community Montreux ) was a Swiss graphic designer , designer , illustrator and photographer . He was especially known for his poster designs. Donald Bruns first success as an artist was in 1928, a poster competition for the city of Basel, a "Poster bathrooms", which he won. Brun created from the 1930s to the 1970s, designs that poster wrote history. His work aroused international attention. In 1964, he became the documenta III (in the graphics department) to Kassel invited. Donald Brun in 1952 was co-founder of the year the Alliance Graphique Internationale , AGI. His poster designs of the late 1940s and 1950s show the influence of the Bauhaus . Early on, they are distinguished by a fine sense of humor.
