Chagall moved together with his family to Provence, to find peace and security in the south of France during the war. Here he completed the picture “The Three Candles” in Provence, France, where we lived with his fmily during the war. The wedding couple, floating in the skies, overcome all the chaos. The candles symbolize faith and hope. The marvelous color lithograph was reproduced in 20 colors after the Chagall oil painting in the studio Tête à Tête, Paris. This is a must-have piece for Chagall lovers and avid collectors. This color lithograph, was produced after the original. It is limited edition of 450 copies, signed in the plate and numbered. This one is numbered 10/450. The edition was printed with stone in 20 colors on the 290 gr. handmade paper, which was prepared especially for this edition. ©ADAGP 2000 Marc Chagall.
