Trouville is a resort located in Normandy next to its glamorous neighbor, Deauville. It was originally a fishing port and was developed into a sea resort in the first half of the 19th century. It is known for its architectural heritage (superb villas and a Casino). This poster was commissioned by the Trouville Tourist Office (“Stay in Trouville”) and was done by Savignac, the famous French poster designer and a long time resident of Trouville where he passed away in 2002 at 95.
