A beautiful poster by an anonymous artist in a style reminiscent of Mucha. This is an ad for the Veuve Amiot Mousseux earmarked for the Chinese market. The French term "Mousseux" is used to refer to sparkling wine not made in the Champagne region. Amiot was founded in 1869 by Alexandre Armand Amiot and the business was taken over by his window upon his untimely death in 1882, hence the Veuve (widow) Amiot denomination.
