A beautiful,Second Printing, poster realized in 1954 by Rey Dirksen (1924–1999). The Nieuw Amsterdam was a Dutch ocean liner built in Rotterdam for the Holland America Line. This Nieuw Amsterdam, the second of four Holland America ships with that name, is considered by many to have been Holland America´s finest ship. The Holland America Line is a British–American owned cruise line. It was founded in 1873 as the Netherlands–America Steamship Company, a shipping and passenger line. Headquartered in Rotterdam and providing service to the Americas, it became known as Holland America Line. HAL is now headquartered in Seattle, Washington, U.S.
