More Views

A whimsical poster realized ca. 1920 for Rivoire & Carret. Rivoire & Carret is a brand of pasta, founded in 1860 in Lyons, France, by Claudius Rivoire and Jean-Marie Carret. In 1960, at its production peak, Rivoire & Carret was producing 60 millions of kilos of pasta per year. As the caption tells us, this pasta only sells in packs of 500, 250 and 125 grams. You are also strongly advised to turn down any package not bearing the Rivoire & Carret brand name ! Also note the official excise stamp on the M of Vermicelle, certifying that the French posting fee had been paid.
