An unusual war poster by Jean Carlu (1900-1989), one of France's most talented poster designers . Carlu spent the years of World War II in the United States, where he executed a number of important poster designs for the government's war effort. This poster was realized at the onset of WWII for the Franco-British Day, in favor of "those who fight and of their families". Note the Adrian helmet worn by the French soldier and the Tommy helmet worn by the British, side by side.
