You are looking at rare original, 3 languages Tel Aviv street sign. The sign was made to Honor Hayim Nahman Bialik, also Chaim or Haim who, was a Jewish poet who wrote primarily in Hebrew but also in Yiddish. Bialik was one of the pioneers of modern Hebrew poetry and came to be recognized as Israel's national poet. The three languages indicate the sign was made during British mandate for Palestine or around 1950's. The sign is made of tin and enamel - in later years tin signs in Tel Aviv were replaced with cheaper aluminium signs.
