A poster realized in 1927 by Jean Carlu (1900-1997) one of the foremost French poster designers, in connection with the opening of the Théâtre Pigalle in Paris. The Théâtre Pigalle was built thanks to its benefactor Henri de Rothschild as an ultramodern theatre of which the lighting technique and the Art Deco style were especially perceived as trendsetting at the time.
