Founded by James Fazy, the Journal de Genève first came out on the 6th January 1826 and its last issue was dated the 28th February 1998. The complete collection represents 550,000 printed pages, equivalent to 2'000'000 articles. The first issue of the Gazette de Lausanne, founded by Gabriel-Antoine Miéville, is dated February 1st 1798. The title « Gazette de Lausanne » was first used in 1803, and was preceded by « Peuple Vaudois », « Bulletin Officiel », « Bulletin Helvétique », « Journal Suisse » and « Journal Helvétique ». The complete collection consists of 450'000 printed pages, comprising approximately 1'700'000 articles.
