Original Vintage Loterie Nationale Poster "Tranche des Gros lots"

More Views

Poster commissioned (ca.1960) by the Loterie Nationale (French national lottery) created in 1933. This poster was created for a special drawing with big winnings. Lady Luck a.k.a. Fortuna was the goddess of fortune and personification of luck in Roman religion. She might bring good luck or bad: she could be represented as veiled and blind, as in modern depictions of Justice, and came to represent life's capriciousness. Note the LN (National lottery) on her belt buckle and shirt collar!
