Details

A rare and beautiful poster, realized by Oge in 1909, to advertise "La Menthe Pastille" liquor which is produced by Giffard. The company was created in Angers in 1885 and located in Avrillé since 1972. Everything began with the bet by the audacious pharmacist, Emile Giffard, who invented Menthe-Pastille in his dispensary. The incontestable quality, the medals awarded, the famous advertisement posters, all made Menthe-Pastille a great brand. Giffard is still an independent 100% family owned company, which produces over 100 liquors and syrups, distributed in over 50 countries. This poster is featured in the book "Eugène Ogé Affichiste" (1998) on p. 224. Eugène Ogé (1861-1936) was a French poster artist with a unique and playful style.
