A whimsical poster realized in 1955 by Jean Carlu (1900-1997) one of the foremost French poster designers. This poster was commissioned by Cinzano. Cinzano vermouths date back to 1757 and the Turin herbal shop of two brothers, Giovanni Giacomo and Carlo Stefano Cinzano, who created a new "vermouth rosso" (red vermouth) using "aromatic plants from the Italian Alps in a recipe combining 35 ingredients. As the caption tells us : “Cinzano, always the favorite !”.
