Eclair-Journal was a film production company and a film distribution company. The Eclair-Journal was created in 1920 following the bankruptcy of the company Eclair. The Eclair-Journal was the sector specializing in film news from the industrial society film Eclair (SICE). During World War II, the Eclair-Journal will be at the service of the Vichy regime propaganda. Its Director was the former member of Parliament and former Mayor of AIX, Henri Clerc, who fought in the 1930's to save French cinema from financial crisis. In 1969, the Société française de films and cinematographs Eclair (the Eclair-Journal owner) was taken over by the Gaumont company which took an important interest in the Eclair-Journal.
