Poster commissioned (1961) by the Loterie Nationale (French national lottery) created in 1933. In this whimsical poster by Piem the caption tells the lucky winner: “Loterie Nationale: Think of her. Weekly drawings every Wednesday with a top prize of 1 Million New Francs”. (France’s new currency went into effect in 1959 – One New Franc equalled One Hundred Old Francs).
