“Le roman d’un tricheur” (the life of a cheat) is a novel written in 1936 by Sacha Guitry (1885-1957) a French actor, dramatist and director. This is the life story of a charming scoundrel, with little dialogue other than the star/director's witty narration. This poster was realized for a recent re-edition of the movie by Savignac, the renowned poster designer who died in 2002 at age 95.
