Original French Art Lithograph by Willette Pencil Signed and in the Plate

More Views

Adolphe-Léon Willette (1857–1926) was a French painter, illustrator, caricaturist, and lithographer. The artist was a prolific contributor to the French illustrated press under the pseudonyms "Cemoi", "Pierrot", "Louison", "Bebe", and "Nox", but more often under his own name. This lithograph realized ca. 1910 features a lecherous Pierrot, one of his favourite characters enjoying watching the housework of his multi-tasked servant. The windmill in the background is a reference to the location of the abode, in this case Montmartre.
