The Provisional Government, printed invitation for the Declaration of Independence ceremony. 13.5.1948. Original invitation sent only to the members of the Provisional Government, to journalists and to relatives. "We are honored to send you herewith an invitation to the Declaration of Independence session which will take place on Friday… 4 pm in the Museum hall…we ask you to keep the content of this invitation and the date secret…" on the lower part: "personal invitation – Dress: dark festive clothes" (Hebrew). Also, we have a unique invitation by the Provisional Government to the people who were seated in the Hall with the number of the row and chair given to the family member of the honorable. The one we have was given to Hadassa Heftmen, the wife of Joseph Heftman, Israel Editor and General Zionist Leader. Leaf, 21.5 cm. Good condition. We are lucky to have both invitattions: one for Joseph who got the main invite to seat around the table of Ben Gurion, and the invite for his wife Hadassa to sit in the hall - Raw 5, chair 1, left. This is a very special historic artifact for the creation of the state of Israel.
